Grad2Grid (G2G) is a platform that bridges the gap between young people and the trades. We connect young applicants — from students and trainees to newly qualified tradespeople — directly with the employers who want to hire them.

Applicants build a profile, get discovered, and message employers directly. No recruitment agencies, no middlemen, no agency fees.

There are two types of account on Grad2Grid:

• Applicants — young people aged 16 or over who are looking for an opportunity in the trades, at any level.
• Employers — trade businesses looking to browse profiles and connect with young talent.

We cover all trades and all experience levels, from someone just starting out to a newly qualified tradesperson.

Head to the registration page and choose whether you're an applicant or an employer. Then enter your details, confirm you're aged 16 or over, and you're in. Creating an account is completely free and takes a couple of minutes.

Yes. Creating an account, building your profile, browsing, and getting discovered are all 100% free — no card needed. We also offer an optional G2G Premium upgrade with extra features, but you never have to pay to use the core platform.

Yes. After registering, we'll send a verification link to your email address. Verifying your email keeps your account secure and helps keep the community trustworthy for everyone. Just click the link in the email to confirm your account.

Build a complete profile — add your experience, qualifications, skills, location, and what you're looking for. Think of it as your digital CV, done properly. The more complete your profile, the more likely employers are to find you and reach out.

Once your profile is published, employers can browse and search for you. You can also see who has viewed your profile and respond to any interest.

Add as much relevant detail as you can:

• Your trade and experience level
• Any qualifications or training you've completed
• Key skills and what you've worked on
• Your location and how far you're willing to travel
• What kind of role or opportunity you're looking for

You can edit your profile any time from your dashboard.

Applicants can use Grad2Grid completely free, including a public profile, adding your skills and experience, and unlimited messaging with employers. If you'd like to stand out further, G2G Premium adds boosted placement in employer searches, a premium badge on your profile, and the ability to see exactly who viewed your profile.

Premium applicants can see how many people have viewed their profile and exactly who they are — so you can follow up with interested employers. On the free plan this is hidden. Upgrade with G2G Premium.

Once registered as an employer, you can browse all applicant profiles, filter by trade and level, and search by location. When you find someone who fits, message them directly to start the conversation — no agency in between.

You can also post your open roles on your profile so applicants can see what you're hiring for.

Grad2Grid uses postcode-based distance search. Enter a postcode and we'll show you applicants within your chosen radius, so you can find talent that's genuinely local to where the work is. Advanced search filters — including trade, location, and availability — are available on G2G Premium.

Employers can browse all applicant profiles, post open roles, and send up to 5 messages per month for free. G2G Premium unlocks unlimited messaging, advanced search filters, and a Verified Employer badge on your profile.

There are never any recruitment agency fees — you connect with applicants directly.

The Verified Employer badge is a mark of trust shown on your profile, helping applicants feel confident reaching out to you. It's included with G2G Premium.

Premium builds on everything in the free plan. For applicants it adds boosted placement in employer searches, a premium badge, and the ability to see who viewed your profile. For employers it adds unlimited messaging, advanced search filters, and a Verified Employer badge.

G2G Premium starts from £9.99 per month, billed monthly. There's no long-term contract, and you can cancel any time.

Yes. Premium is billed monthly and you can cancel whenever you like — there's no minimum term. When you cancel, you'll keep your Premium features until the end of your current billing period, then return to the free plan automatically.

Log in and head to your dashboard, then open your profile to make changes. You can update your details, experience, and what you're looking for at any time.

All conversations happen through your G2G inbox — there's no need to share personal contact details until you're ready. Applicants can message employers freely, while employers get 5 messages a month on the free plan, or unlimited messaging with Premium.

You can request account deletion at any time. Email us at info@grad2grid.com from your registered email address and we'll remove your account and associated data in line with our Privacy Policy.
