About Grad2Grid

Grad2Grid ("we", "us", "our") is an online platform that connects young applicants with employers in the United Kingdom. The platform is operated by an individual based in the United Kingdom.

By accessing or using Grad2Grid at grad2grid.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

Eligibility

To use Grad2Grid you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Be based in or seeking employment in the United Kingdom
• Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
• Not already have an account that has been suspended or terminated

You must be 18 or over to buy a paid plan. Users aged 16 and 17 can use all free features.

By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate, current and complete.

Account Registration

You must register for an account to access most features of the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at info@grad2grid.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

User Conduct

When using Grad2Grid, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading or fraudulent information on your profile
• Harass, abuse, threaten or discriminate against other users
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access another user's account without permission
• Scrape, copy or reproduce content from the Platform without our consent
• Post spam or unsolicited commercial messages
• Impersonate any person or organisation
• Upload content that is offensive, obscene or harmful
• Try to get around plan limits, security measures or payment

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend any account that violates these rules without prior notice.

Applicant Accounts

As an applicant on Grad2Grid, you understand that:

• Your profile and information may be visible to other registered users, including employers
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your qualifications and experience
• Grad2Grid does not verify qualifications or credentials listed on profiles
• Any employment relationship formed through the Platform is solely between you and the employer
• Grad2Grid is not a party to any employment contract or agreement

Employer Accounts

As an employer on Grad2Grid, you understand that:

• You must be a legitimate business or individual with genuine hiring intent
• Employer accounts, and any plan bought for one, are used for business purposes
• Job postings must be accurate, lawful and not discriminatory
• You must comply with all applicable UK employment laws including the Equality Act 2010
• The "Verified" badge only confirms that the company number you gave is an active company on Companies House. It does not confirm that you are authorised to act for that company, or anything else about your business
• Any employment offer or contract is solely between you and the applicant

Messaging

The Platform provides a messaging feature to allow users to communicate directly. You must verify your email address before sending messages. You agree to use this feature respectfully and professionally. We reserve the right to review messages to investigate reports of misuse and keep users safe.

You can report another user or block them at any time using the Report and Block options on their profile or in your messages. Blocking a user prevents them from messaging you. Reports are sent privately to the Grad2Grid team for review. For urgent safety concerns — including any concern involving a person under 18 — contact us directly at info@grad2grid.com.

We are not responsible for the content of messages exchanged between users.

Paid Plans

Grad2Grid is free to use on the Basic plan. We also offer paid monthly plans: Premium for applicants, and Premium, Unlimited and Brand Platinum for employers. The current features, limits and prices of each plan are shown on our Pricing page.

• Prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include any VAT that applies
• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details
• Your plan starts as soon as your first payment is confirmed
• You must be 18 or over to buy a paid plan

When you buy a paid plan, a contract for that plan is formed between you and us. It runs month to month until it is cancelled under section 10 or section 11.

Billing & Renewal

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Your first payment is taken when you subscribe
• Your plan renews automatically every month on the same date, and we charge the card you have saved with Stripe, until you cancel
• You can view invoices, update your card or cancel at any time from Manage subscription on the Pricing page
• If you switch plans part-way through a month, the price difference is prorated and shown to you before you confirm
• If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it over the following days. Your paid features stay on while it retries. If the payment still can't be taken, your plan ends and your account moves back to Basic
• If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next payment at the new price. You can cancel before the change takes effect if you don't want to continue

Cancelling Your Plan

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from Manage subscription on the Pricing page. You don't need to contact us, and there is no cancellation fee.

• Cancelling stops future payments. You keep your paid features until the end of the month you have already paid for, and your account then moves to Basic
• Apart from the rights in sections 11 and 12, we don't refund the unused part of a month
• When your account moves to Basic, Basic plan limits apply again. Existing job listings and conversations are kept, but you can't add listings or start new conversations beyond the Basic limits. Paid-only features stop, such as the Verified badge, featured placement and profile view lists

Your 14-Day Right to Cancel

If you buy a paid plan as a consumer (for personal use, not for a business), UK law gives you the right to cancel within 14 days of the day you first subscribe, without giving a reason.

• Your paid features start straight away. At checkout you ask us to start the service during this 14-day period
• If you cancel within 14 days, we will refund what you paid, minus an amount for the days you have used. This amount is proportionate to the days used out of the billing month
• To use this right, email info@grad2grid.com from your registered email address, saying clearly that you want to cancel. You can also cancel in the billing portal and then email us to ask for the refund
• We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your request, to the card you paid with
• This right applies to your first subscription to a plan. It does not apply to monthly renewals

This statutory right does not apply to employer plans, because employer plans are bought for business purposes. Employers can still cancel at any time under section 10.

Refunds & Your Legal Rights

If a paid feature does not work as described and we can't fix it within a reasonable time, contact us. We will offer a fair refund for the affected period.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Changes to Plans & Features

We are always working on the Platform, so features may change over time. If we make a change that significantly reduces what your paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance. You can cancel before the change takes effect and get a refund for any unused part of your current month.

Suspension, Termination & Deleting Your Account

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, provide false information, or behave in a way that is harmful to other users or the Platform. If we close your account for a serious or repeated breach, your paid plan ends and we won't refund the rest of the month. If we close your account for any other reason, or we stop running the Platform, we will refund any unused part of a month you have already paid for.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing info@grad2grid.com from your registered email address. If you have a paid plan, we will cancel it first so that you are not charged again. We handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Grad2Grid Platform including the design, logo, branding and code is owned by Grad2Grid and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our express written permission.

By posting content on the Platform (including your profile information, company logo and branding), you grant Grad2Grid a non-exclusive licence to display and use that content for the purposes of operating the Platform. For Brand Platinum employers, this includes showing your company on our homepage.

Limitation of Liability

Grad2Grid provides the Platform on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from viruses.

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Grad2Grid shall not be liable for:

• Any employment decisions made by employers or applicants through the Platform
• The accuracy of information provided by users on their profiles
• Any content posted by other users
• Any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms

For employer accounts, our total liability to you under these Terms in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable to employers for loss of profit, business or opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy & Cookies

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain what data we collect, how we use it, and what we store in your browser.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will tell you on the Platform and ask you to accept the updated Terms the next time you sign in. Changes that affect a paid plan will not apply until your next billing month, and you can cancel before then.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
